The Lonely Duck

To my NA students,
This is the duck I spoke about in class the other day, swimming lonely in a reservoir near Cueva Grande. The duck's owner told the story of how this male duck lost his wife who died of a broken heart. She apparently witnessed so many carnivorous gulls eating her young that the poor mom went crazy and died. I do not know  if the story is true, but it sure was well told. Anyway, I sincerely hope that the water levels have risen in the island reservoirs with the recent rains.Your roving teacher, David
